Data Engineer
Driven Brands Inc.
• designing, building, and maintaining dimensional data models that support our analytics, AI, and business intelligence initiatives • working closely with stakeholders to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and optimized for performance • creating and maintaining logical, physical, and conceptual data models in Google Big Query using Dataform • collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver data products in support of those needs • developing and managing data dictionaries, metadata, and data lineage • refining and updating models for performance, scalability, and cost efficiencies • ensuring data quality, integrity, and security across all data platforms
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role
- Strong experience with SQL and relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, BigQuery)
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS) and data services (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Dataform)
- Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts
- Must be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders
- Experience within the Google Big Query environment
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
