Role Description Als Bilanzbuchhalter (m/w/d) übernimmst Du Verantwortung für die laufende Finanzbuchhaltung sowie die Erstellung von Monats-, Quartals- und Jahresabschlüssen. Dabei arbeitest Du eigenständig, strukturiert und unterstützt aktiv bei der Optimierung von Finanz- und Rechnungswesenprozessen. - Du verantwortest die laufende Finanzbuchhaltung, von der Verbuchung aller Geschäftsvorfälle bis hin zur Kontenabstimmung. - Du erstellst termingerecht Monats-, Quartals- und Jahresabschlüsse nach HGB und bist die zentrale Anlaufstelle für abschlussrelevante Themen. - Du arbeitest eng mit Steuerberatern sowie Wirtschaftsprüfern zusammen und bist im Team die Schnittstelle für steuerliche Fragestellungen. - Aktiv bringst Du Dich in die Optimierung unserer Buchhaltungsprozesse ein und analysierst Finanzdaten mit unserem ERP-System und MS Office. - Du bereitest aussagekräftige Finanzreports auf, die dem Management als wichtige Entscheidungsgrundlage dienen. Qualifications - Du hast eine kaufmännische Ausbildung, idealerweise ergänzt durch eine Weiterbildung zum Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK) oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation. - Du bringst Berufserfahrung in der Finanzbuchhaltung mit und bist sicher in der Erstellung von Monats- und Jahresabschlüssen nach HGB. - Du bringst eine hohe Reisebereitschaft für unsere bundesweiten/internationalen Projekte mit. - Im Umgang mit einem gängigen ERP-System sowie MS Office, insbesondere Excel, bist du versiert. - Du überzeugst durch deine strukturierte, eigenverantwortliche Arbeitsweise und bist gleichzeitig ein echter Teamplayer. - Deine Deutschkenntnisse sind auf verhandlungssicherem Niveau (C1). - Du verfügst über gute Englischkenntnisse. • Complete timely reviews of financials statements prepared by Wolff’s property management company • Provide accurate annual property tax amortization and impound schedules to Wolff’s property management company • Attend monthly financial review calls to identify additional accounting items to be addressed in the next period • Collaborate with owner Asset Managers on financials and treatment of unique accounting-situations • Understand Wolff processes and policies • Understand external partner accounting requirements, and ensure financials and processes are successfully executed against them

What will I do as a Senior Accountant - Affordable Housing with Lutheran Social Services? - Lead month-end close for all affordable housing entities; maintain the general ledger in NetSuite and AR in OneSite. - Prepare and deliver monthly financial statements, budgets-to-actual variance analysis, and HUD-required reports accurately and on time. - Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain supporting schedules/workpapers. - Review resident A/R and HAP cash postings; partner with property staff to resolve discrepancies. - Support compliance activities, including surplus cash/residual receipts analysis, CapX processing, and coordination on tax filings as needed. - Support annual financial and single audits; respond to auditor requests and help strengthen internal controls. - Serve as primary finance partner to Affordable Housing leadership and operations; perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. - 3-5+ years of accounting experience required. - Affordable housing experience (HUD-regulated programs, Section 8, LIHTC, and/or RAD for PRAC) required. - Strong knowledge of GAAP and fund accounting. - NetSuite (or similar ERP) and OneSite (or similar property management software) preferred. - Advanced Excel skills; proficient with Microsoft Office.
