Role Description The client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Stone Estimator to support the preparation of quotations for residential and commercial stone projects including: - Stone benchtops - Stone splashbacks - Large format porcelain / sintered stone - Floor and wall cladding applications - Residential and commercial fit-outs The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing architectural and building plans, completing accurate take-offs, preparing stone component drawings in SeCAD V12, and producing quotations in StonePro. All completed quotations will be submitted to the General Manager for final review and issue to clients. This role requires strong technical understanding, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities - Estimating & Take-Offs - Read and interpret architectural, construction, and shop drawings - Complete accurate material take-offs from building and architectural plans - Identify project scope, stone requirements, fabrication details, and installation considerations - Calculate quantities, wastage allowances, cut-outs, edge details, and labour requirements - Prepare accurate quotations for: - Kitchen benchtops - Bathroom vanities - Splashbacks - Feature walls - Large format floor and wall cladding - CAD Drafting & Quotation Preparation - Produce accurate 2D stone component drawings using SeCAD V12 - Prepare quotations using StonePro software - Ensure all drawings and pricing align with project specifications and company standards - Maintain organised project files and documentation - Submit completed quotes to the General Manager for checking and final issue to clients - Coordination & Administration - Liaise with internal staff regarding project details and clarifications - Assist with revised pricing and variations where required - Maintain estimating templates and pricing schedules - Ensure quotations are completed within required timeframes - Support continuous improvement of estimating systems and workflow processes Qualifications - Experience with the following will be highly regarded: - SeCAD V12 - StonePro - Bluebeam - Microsoft Excel - CRM and job management systems - Previous experience in stone estimating, cabinetry/joinery estimating, or related construction estimating roles - Strong ability to read and interpret building and architectural plans - Proven experience completing accurate take-offs - Strong 2D CAD drafting experience - High level of attention to detail and accuracy - Strong mathematical and analytical skills - Excellent organisational and time management skills - Ability to work independently in a remote environment - Good written and verbal communication skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Benefits - Salary: $1,200 - $1,500 AUD a month - Working Hours: AU Business Hours - Holidays: TBD Company Description The company is a leading supplier and installer of premium stone surfaces specialising in stone benchtops, splashbacks, and large format stone applications for residential and commercial projects.
