Senior FP&A Systems Consultant

Banyan Software

• Understand ERP transaction flows and financial semantics • Design dimensional reporting structures across chart of accounts and management reporting hierarchies • Validate reporting accuracy and reconciliation integrity • Translate operational transactions into reliable financial reporting outputs • Work with ERP systems and external data sources • Design and troubleshoot integrations and APIs • Map inbound financial and operational data feeds • Support scalable warehouse-oriented reporting architectures • Design approaches for data movement, transformation, and synchronization • Write advanced SQL for reporting and analysis against financial data sources • Diagnose reporting bottlenecks and warehouse inefficiencies • Design scalable reporting structures and reusable query logic • Apply data warehouse thinking to financial reporting problems • Lead technical discoveries with customers around reporting requirements and data challenges • Translate finance problems into scalable technical architecture • Communicate tradeoffs and alternative solution paths clearly • Independently drive customer assignments from requirements through delivery • Coordinate with implementation partners and internal teams

Job Requirements

  • Native or near-native English language skills, all writing and client interaction will be in English
  • 6–10 years of experience spanning FP&A, ERP implementation, financial systems consulting, or a combination of these
  • Deep understanding of ERP transaction flows, GL structures, subledgers, dimensions, and financial reporting hierarchies
  • Hands-on experience with mid-market ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics GP, Business Central, Oracle EBS, or SAP HANA
  • Advanced Excel capability; Power Query, Power Pivot, DAX, and experience building reports used by large groups of end users
  • Practical SQL mastery; ability to reverse-engineer queries, trace data to source systems, tune for performance, and diagnose reporting errors
  • Demonstrated experience building financial reports end-to-end, including scoping, layout, validation, and reconciliation
  • Ability to operate independently without rigid specifications, consulting or implementation background strongly preferred
  • Development capability sufficient to work in stored procedures, debug data pipelines, and navigate development environments (expert-level coding not required)
  • Experience marketing to or working alongside finance leaders and accounting teams preferred
  • Background in financial software, reporting tools, or BI platforms is an asset.
