Financial Analyst, Corporate Finance

• Complete month end, quarter end, and year end procedures to ensure all accounting entries posted properly, includes preparing working papers for General Ledgers accounts. • Prepare and maintain continuity schedules for balance sheet accounts. • Prepare monthly variance analysis and B2A reports. • Prepare monthly financial reporting packs. • Prepare monthly and quarter covenant reporting packs. • Prepare quarterly financial statements and reports. • Review some workbooks of junior team members; provide guidance and mentorship as required. • Ensure Compliance with Sales Taxes, Corporate Taxes, and Deferred Taxes, including reporting and filing. • Key point of contact for annual audit and for annual corporate tax filing. • Assist Senior Director of Finance with ad-hoc projects. • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; professional accounting designation considered an asset.
- 3-5 years relevant and progressive work experience in financial and/or cost accounting.
- Experience with IFRS is considered an asset.
- A talent for efficiently handling tight deadlines.
- Experience combining data from multiple sources
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills; detail oriented and highly accurate.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Criminal background check required
