Main Responsibilities As an AI Researcher at Ericsson, you will: - Research, design, and evaluate AI/ML concepts for future radio access networks, robotics and AI-native systems - Explore and apply emerging AI technologies to autonomous, largescale telecom networks - Develop algorithms, models, and simulation frameworks for next-generation network intelligence - Translate research ideas into prototypes, publications, patents, and standards contributions - Collaborate closely with experts across radio systems, networking, robotics and hardware platforms - Work with real-world constraints - performance, scalability, robustness, and energy efficiency - Engage with internal and external partners across academia and industry You will be trusted with meaningful responsibility from day one and supported by senior researchers who are leaders in their fields. Role Description The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) is an independent research organization at the University of Washington (UW). Its mission is to deliver to the world timely, relevant, and scientifically valid evidence to improve health policy and practice. IHME carries out its mission through a range of projects within different research areas including: - Global Burden of Diseases (GBD) - Injuries and Risk Factors - Future Health Scenarios - Cost Effectiveness and Efficiency - Resource Tracking - Impact Evaluations IHME has an excellent opportunity for a Temporary Researcher on the Gender Equality Metrics team. This team produces estimates of gender-based violence for the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) Study and analyzes sex differences in GBD outputs and other indicators of interest. IHME Researchers (Payroll Title: IHME Research Scientist 1 (E S 8 SEIU 925 IHME)) analyze and produce key estimates for their assigned research team and will assess all available quantitative data – including those on causes of death, epidemiology, and a range of determinants such as education and income – from surveys, vital registration, censuses, literature, registries, and administrative records. You will be integrally involved in producing, critiquing, improving, and disseminating results. You already have a command of epidemiology, statistics, disease modeling, or related interests, and we will help you develop an understanding of our core research and methodology. Our Researchers work with data and research professionals at all levels, and with external collaborators to take part in the intellectual exchange about how to improve upon and disseminate the results. You are expected to interact successfully with a wide range of partners and to describe complex concepts and materials concisely.
