Job Description

Automation QA Engineer

BetterMe

• Perform automated testing of Back-End systems, including APIs (REST/GraphQL), and integrations • Cover regression scenarios, maintain and improve existing automated tests • Work with requirements, create and maintain test documentation, test cases, and checklists • Participate in load and performance testing activities, including creating test scenarios, analyzing results, and identifying potential bottlenecks • Analyze test results, investigate issues, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Web, Mobile, DevOps) • Participate in Agile processes, team meetings, and code reviews • Contribute to improving QA processes and test infrastructure, including usage of AI-powered tools in daily work

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in QA, including at least 2 years of hands-on experience in test automation
  • Practical experience with Back-End/API testing and solid understanding of client-server architecture
  • Experience with automation using Java/js and tools/frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, REST Assured, or similar
  • Understanding of microservices architecture, asynchronous systems, and CI/CD processes
  • Experience working with Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodologies
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, debugging, and problem-solving skills
  • Practical usage of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.) in day-to-day work

Working from operations centers and shipyards to training sites and program offices, CSA deploys experienced teams, innovative tools and proven processes to advance federal missions. This role is contingent on award. How Role will make an impact: - Programs, analyzes, and runs tests on new or modified software programs, including documentation, diagram, and flowchart, and software development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to establishment guidelines. - Conducts compatibility tests with vendor-provided programs. - Runs in-depth testing, detects problems, recommends solutions, and determines if program requirements have been met. - Recommends program improvements or corrections to programmers. - Writes, revises, and verifies quality standards, and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to attain quality of software economically and efficiently. - Reviews computer operating log to identify program processing errors. - Enters instructions into computer to test program for validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and conformance to establishment standards. - Observes computer monitor screen during program test to detect error codes or interruption of program and corrects errors. - Identifies differences between establishment standards and user applications, and suggests modifications to conform to standards. - Sets up tests at request of user to locate and correct program operating error following installation of program. - Monitors program performance after implementation to prevent reoccurrence of program operating problems and ensure efficiency of operation. - Writes documentation to describe program evaluation, testing, and correction. - May evaluate proposed software or software enhancement for feasibility. - May develop utility program to test, track, and verify defects in software program. - May write programs to create new procedures or modify existing procedures. - May train software program users.
