What your experience might look like - Strong ability to analyse data, identify issues, and resolve root causes, with proficiency in spreadsheets, databases or GIS; experience with WasteEdge or similar systems. - Proven experience conducting field-based inspections or audits, including the ability to assess, document and report on physical site conditions accurately and independently. - A high level of initiative and independence, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing workloads across field and desktop activities with limited supervision. - Demonstrated knowledge of waste management principles and practices necessary to support accurate service delivery and data integrity within a municipal context. - A current Victorian Driver Licence. • Define and execute the enterprise cloud data platform strategy, aligning platform investments with business priorities, data/AI objectives, and long-term technology roadmaps. • Lead the engineering and operations of the full data platform ecosystem — including cloud data warehouses/Lakehouses, data integration, transformation, orchestration, observability, and data quality services. • Establish and enforce technology standards, reference architectures, and engineering guardrails that ensure platform consistency, scalability, security, and interoperability across the data ecosystem. • Partner with business, product, and technology leaders to translate data needs into prioritized platform capabilities and investment cases with clear ROI.

• Own the design, implementation, and operation of production data pipelines that consolidate performance data and product telemetry into our lakehouse • Lead architecture and infrastructure decisions for our lakehouse platform on AWS, including IaC in Terraform, schema design, and multi-tenant isolation patterns • Drive data modeling for complex entities like time-series performance data, hierarchical org structures, and multi-source athlete profiles • Build and document the reusable patterns, runbooks, and Terraform modules that let other product teams self-serve new datasets and integrations • Raise the bar on platform reliability through observability, on-call rotation ownership, and post-incident learning that reduces toil and cost over time • Partner with product and engineering teams to evaluate and evolve the platform's technology stack as the business scales into new environments • Participate in our on-call rotation

• Support Snowflake data warehouse (data ingestion, transformation, and modeling) and assist with performance monitoring • Build and maintain Qlik dashboards and reports with accurate, up-to-date data for business users • Develop and monitor ETL/ELT pipelines, troubleshooting data issues and ensuring reliable data flow • Ensure data quality through validation checks, documentation, and support of governance processes • Assist with SQL optimization, performance tuning, and troubleshooting across Snowflake and Qlik environments • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and support analytics initiatives
