Opportunity Overview: Cohere is looking for an individual experienced in provider customer service to act as a key point of contact for hospitals, clinics, physician offices and supply companies. As a Provider Outreach Specialist you will expedite medical records requests and respond to provider inquiries with accuracy, timeliness, and a high level of professionalism. The representative works cross-functionally with audit operations teams to resolve issues, ensure compliance with policies, and support a positive customer experience. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a working knowledge of healthcare claims and payment integrity processes are essential for success in this role. • Assists the Director of Revenue Cycle in the development and implementation of billing SOPs for all payors. • Assists with and makes recommendations regarding payor set-up in the Electronic Medical Record to ensure timely claims submission in accordance with Medicare and other payor guidelines. • Responsible for the direct, or indirect, training of new billing team members. • Develops, maintains, and implements training of new billing team members, communicates deficiencies, and provides ongoing training/re-training to existing team members regarding billing and reimbursement. • Consults and communicates with all members of the billing department on a regular basis to coordinate and address appropriate quality program related issues. • Establishes, monitors, and evaluates productivity standards for billing staff. This role plays a critical part in financial oversight by verifying billed fees, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring proper allocation of costs related to pharmacy benefit administration. The analyst works closely with PBM vendors and internal departments to resolve billing issues, support month-end closing, and maintain strong internal controls.
