Senior Product Development Engineer

• Lead a multi-functional team through the development of new products from concept, manufacturing implementation, and commercial launch. • Has responsibility for execution of the project plan and driving decisions to deliver the project on time, within budget, and within scope. • Responsible for oversight of the product and tooling design, which includes leading ideation sessions, conducting competitive analysis, documenting design requirements, DFMEA, and leading design reviews to ultimately gain team alignment. • Coordinate the Technical Development Plan that outlines all the details necessary for the Product Line Manager to respond to an RFQ or create a Business Case, including all cost inputs, capital equipment costs, and evaluation of the technologies required for the development and manufacturing. • Lead technical communication with both internal and external stakeholders. • Responsible for reporting deviations on time, cost, and deliverable project components to senior management as project progresses. • Responsible for adherence to Amcor, industry, and/or regulatory procedures as well as Management of Change, Stage Gate, and ISO processes. • Work closely with Quality personnel to establish critical to quality metrics and to ensure process capability is validated for those metrics.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7+ years of relevant Engineering experience within product development and manufacturing of plastic bottles required.
  • Experienced in the multi-step process such as EBM, SBM, & RHB.
  • Ability to travel domestically as needed (~10% - 20%)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge in statistical methods and programs (SPC/DOE/MiniTab)
  • Self-motivated and assertive individual
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, be a proactive thinker, and be results-oriented
  • Project Management experience a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required for data driven decisions.
