Role Description The SNF Billing Specialist is responsible for managing the billing cycle for Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) services. This includes preparing and submitting claims, monitoring reimbursements, and reviewing aging reports to ensure timely collections. The role requires accuracy, compliance with healthcare regulations, and proactive communication with payers and internal teams. - Prepare, review, and submit claims for SNF services to insurance companies and government payers. - Monitor claim status, follow up on denials, and resolve billing discrepancies. - Generate and analyze aging reports to track outstanding balances and identify collection priorities. - Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing guidelines. - Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to verify patient information and service documentation. - Maintain accurate billing records and support month-end reporting. - Assist in audits and provide documentation as required.
