Technology Strategy Manager – Universal Inventory, Network Automation

• Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team across DevOps, data engineering, data quality, and QA disciplines • Define the technical vision and platform architecture in partnership with the Sr Program Manager and stakeholders • Own platform reliability and operations, ensuring Universal Inventory is always available, performant, and secure • Lead the migration of data from legacy inventory systems into the new platform • Establish data quality standards and governance frameworks • Design and implement network device data models for downstream AI/ML and automation initiatives • Collaborate across organizational boundaries with CIO and network operations • Drive continuous improvement by building feedback loops and measuring platform performance and data quality metrics
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in software engineering and technical leadership with at least 3–5 years managing engineering teams in Telecom, IT Operations, or data infrastructure roles
- Proven track record building and scaling high-performing engineering teams—hiring, developing talent, and delivering complex technical projects on time
- Deep experience with data pipelines, ETL, and data integration
- Experience managing legacy system migrations and integrations
- Telecom network expertise—understanding of RAN, core network, inventory concepts, and network data flows
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, platform reliability, and incident management
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture and execution plans
- Proficiency with cloud platforms and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) for platform deployment and operations
- Hands-on coding ability—you can still write code, review PRs, and contribute to technical decisions
