Job Description
Junior Brand Designer
Cohere
• Design web pages, social assets, decks, and campaign work from brief to ship. • Use AI image and video tools as part of your everyday practice, not as a gimmick. • Help maintain and extend our brand system across every surface it touches. • Support events: booths, signage, wayfinding, swag, the works. • Take feedback well and give it back when something feels off. • Bring ideas. Junior doesn't mean quiet.
Job Requirements
- Formal design training from a program known for taste and rigor, or a self-taught body of work that holds up next to one.
- 1–2 years of design experience.
- A portfolio with real range. Typography, layout, art direction, and a clear point of view matter more to us than volume.
- Fluent in Figma and the Adobe suite.
- Fluent (or actively getting there) with AI image and video tools — Midjourney, Runway, Nano Banana, ComfyUI, whatever you reach for. We care about how you use them, not which ones.
- Curiosity about AI
- Taste, and the self-awareness to know yours can still grow.
- Bonus points if you also
- Shoot photos or video and have a body of work to show for it.
- Run a publication, zine, newsletter, or some kind of independent creative project.
- Do motion, 3D, or creative coding.
- Write well. We mean it.
- We hire people who design as a job and make things as a life. If you have a side practice, that's not extra credit, it's part of why we'll want to talk to you.
Benefits
- An open and inclusive culture and work environment
- Work closely with a team on the cutting edge of AI research
- Weekly lunch stipend, in-office lunches & snacks
- Full health and dental benefits, including a separate budget to take care of your mental health
- 100% Parental Leave top-up for up to 6 months
- Personal enrichment benefits towards arts and culture, fitness and well-being, quality time, and workspace improvement
- Remote-flexible, offices in Toronto, New York, San Francisco, London and Paris, as well as a co-working stipend
- 6 weeks of vacation (30 working days!)

We’re creating an adaptive, AI-native workspace that helps teams organize, create, and collaborate – all in one secure platform. Role Description We're nuwacom, and we're building an AI operating system for work. We're looking for a Junior Brand Designer to help shape how our brand shows up in the world. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career who wants real ownership, meaningful variety, and the chance to grow alongside a brand that's still being defined. You won't be working with a finished brand—you'll be shaping and building it together with our team, and maintaining it as we grow. - Brand building: developing our visual system as we grow — from brand guidelines, templates to email signatures and everything that makes nuwacom feel like nuwacom. - Website: keeping it sharp, building new pages, helping us tell our story visually as we scale. - Presentations & Slide Decks: Design of pitch decks, internal updates, and training materials. - Social and ads: templates and visuals for LinkedIn and campaigns. - Events and print: roll-ups, booth materials, and everything we need for webinars and conferences. - Product design support: collaborating with our product team when design needs arise. - Whatever else comes up: we're early, and design touches a lot of corners. You'll work closely with our design lead, marketing team, and founders. You'll see your work go live quickly, which is one of the best parts about working at this stage. Qualifications - You've done two to three years of design work — maybe at an agency, maybe in-house, maybe both. - Your portfolio shows you care about the details, even if not every project was perfect. - You're comfortable working with design tools like Figma, Lovable, or similar — you can translate design concepts into visual work. - You speak German fluently and can hold your own in English. - You're genuinely excited about AI and use it in your daily work — whether that's Claude, Lovable, or other tools. - You see AI as a creative partner, not a replacement for your thinking. - You're curious, eager to learn, and want to stay at the cutting edge of design and technology. - You're flexible and thrive in a startup environment where priorities can change very quickly. - You're engaged and motivated — you want to build something great with us, not just clock in and out. Benefits - Fully remote within Europe. - Real ownership of your work and the brand you're building. - Mentorship from a team that genuinely cares about craft. - The chance to shape the visual identity of a European AI startup from its early days. - Direct collaboration with leadership and fast decision-making. - A culture where you'll grow quickly and your ideas matter.
