Job Description
Staff Software Engineer
Strategic Employment
Role Description A PE-backed B2B SaaS company in the retail technology space is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their product engineering team. The platform is fully cloud-hosted on AWS, the stack is TypeScript end to end, Next.js and React on the frontend, TypeScript microservices on the backend, and the team is at a genuine inflection point with meaningful greenfield work ahead. The engineering team is small and tenured, which means your work is visible and your decisions actually matter. The new engineering leader came in with a clear mandate to accelerate product velocity and build a culture of decisive, action-oriented engineering, and this hire plays a direct role in that. If you're a full stack engineer who ships, communicates with confidence, and brings genuine curiosity to your craft, this is worth a conversation. If this aligns with your career goals, apply now! Qualifications - 8+ years of professional software engineering experience - TypeScript as a primary, daily-use language in production — 3+ years minimum - Full stack experience with real reps on both frontend and backend - Next.js shipped in a production environment — not just React familiarity - Backend microservices experience - Hands-on AWS experience in a production environment - US Citizens and Permanent Residents are welcome to apply. Unable to provide sponsorship. Benefits - Up to $150,000 base depending on experience - Benefits included Company Description
