Role Description SimplePractice is hiring a Sr. II Product Designer to join our Mobile Pillar, based out of our Mexico City office or remotely within the US. We’re looking for a senior product designer who lives and breathes native mobile experiences, has strong instincts around when iOS and Android patterns should align or diverge, and is excited to help shape the future of mobile design on a small, ambitious team. You will partner closely with Dana, our lead-level mobile designer, who has been carrying mobile design solo for the last year and is excited to have a second designer in the pillar. Together, you will share ownership of the mobile design system, the mobile-first roadmap, and the parity backlog. You will both report to the VP of Product Design and partner closely with mobile engineering across both platforms. The mobile experience at SimplePractice is used every day by practitioners managing their practices on the go, who need full feature parity with the web experience. Your work will directly shape how those people get their jobs done. We are a remote-friendly organization with product designers spread across the U.S. and Mexico City. You will partner closely with our mobile engineering teams and report directly to the VP of Product Design. Responsibilities - Own end-to-end design execution across native iOS and Android experiences, delivering polished, platform-aware solutions aligned with both Material 3 and iOS Human Interface Guidelines. - Drive cross-platform mobile initiatives in partnership with Dana, identifying opportunities for shared experiences while advocating for thoughtful platform-specific distinctions where appropriate. - Partner closely with Product and Engineering throughout the product lifecycle, from early concept exploration and prototyping through final implementation and iteration. - Facilitate and contribute to mobile design critiques, cross-functional reviews, and QA processes to ensure high-quality execution and consistency across platforms. - Contribute to the mobile design system, including the AI Mobile DS build, mobile template repository, and ongoing pattern work where iOS and Android diverge. - Build and refine Figma and Figma Make workflows optimized for efficient native mobile prototyping, experimentation, and collaboration in partnership with Dana. - Proactively identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities within the mobile experience, helping define longer-term improvements to usability, cohesion, and platform maturity. Qualifications - 6 to 9 years of product design experience, with at least 3 years focused on native mobile design. - Strong experience designing for both Android and iOS, with a deep understanding of native patterns, conventions, and platform-specific UX considerations across each. - Deep familiarity with Material 3 design conventions and Android accessibility standards. - Deep familiarity with iOS conventions, including the iOS 26 design language. - Experience working within or contributing to a mobile design system. - Strong Figma proficiency, including component architecture, auto layout, variables, and prototyping. Figma Make experience is a plus. - Experience designing for SaaS products, ideally in healthcare, productivity, or related verticals. - Comfort partnering with mobile engineering on platform-native implementation, with enough technical fluency to participate in Material 3 and SwiftUI implementation discussions. - Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools, including large language models and AI prototyping platforms. A willingness to experiment and integrate these tools into daily practice is preferred. - Strong written and verbal communication in English. Spanish fluency preferred for CDMX-based candidates. - A portfolio that shows polished interaction craft, native mobile sensibility, and systems thinking across multiple product surfaces. Requirements - Native Android product design with Material 3 fluency. - Native iOS product design fluency. - Figma (advanced), including variables and component systems. - Mobile design system contribution experience. - Ability to partner with mobile engineers on implementation and QA. - Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools, including LLMs and AI prototyping platforms. Benefits - Base salary is one component of total compensation. Employees may also be eligible for an annual bonus or commission. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. - The expected annual base compensation range for this job requisition is $150,000 — $180,000 USD.
