Linux DevOps Engineer – Germany

The Formula Consulting

• You will be part of a team of 35 engineers passionate about sensor technology, embedded systems, critical infrastructure, and fleet management. • Together with your team you will take on the following responsibilities: • You design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure for AI-powered applications and deploy models directly onto drone detection devices. • You take ownership of CI/CD pipelines and optimize them to enable fast and secure deployments. • You optimize system reliability, performance, and security. • You ensure that systems operate reliably in offline mode. • You automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform). • You monitor systems, resolve incidents, and continuously improve observability. • If you wish, you support field teams collecting sensor data on-site in Berlin or other locations across Europe and validate the technology in field trials.

Job Requirements

  • EU citizenship: Due to security requirements for this role, you must hold citizenship of an EU member state.
  • Residence in Germany: You are registered in a German city and have a German tax ID.
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in IT (e.g., engineering).
  • At least 2 years of full-time professional experience employed as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, SRE, or MLOps Engineer.
  • Solid knowledge of the embedded Linux ecosystem.
  • Experience writing Bash scripts.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices.
  • Expert knowledge in CI/CD, automation, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Hands-on experience with sensors or other hardware.
  • Good German skills and fluent English; any additional language is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in the defense sector.
  • You thrive in a dynamic startup/scaleup environment.
  • You are motivated to work fully hands-on and dive deep into systems.
