Senior Financial Analyst

Role Description As an Senior Financial Analyst at Gainwell, you can contribute your skills as we harness the power of technology to help our clients improve the health and well-being of the members they serve — a community’s most vulnerable. This role is strictly involved in the development of the product and does not involve access to Protected Health Information (PHI) & Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or any secured/confidential client data. The work is limited to application development and does not include handling or processing of sensitive health information. - Manage the annual budget and monthly forecast process and interpret, summarize, and upload this information to financial systems. - Prepare relevant presentations of this information to support business decisions and communicate with management, finance leadership, and the corporate office. - Perform complex financial analyses including budgeting, trend analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling. - Develop and implement cost distribution methods and review journal entries to meet business needs. - Monitor division and department adherence to approved budget to ensure compliance. - Coordinate, compile and present variance analysis along with conclusions to management monthly. - Make recommendations for financial planning as appropriate to meet business needs. - Analyze budget, monthly forecast and other financial information and prepare presentations with recommendations to senior management and corporate office regarding financial issues. - Make recommendations for process or procedural changes, including training documentation and presentation to other organizations. - Ensure processes and procedures are documented and reviewed/updated on a regular basis. - Provide guidance on process improvements and recommend changes in alignment with business tactics and strategy for area of responsibility. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field preferred. - Five or more years of relevant experience in finance or accounting. - Experience working with accounting principles and accounting software and databases. - Experience working with financial analysis. - Must have extensive experience with MS Excel, SAP or Various accounting tools. - Experience with Anaplan and/or Power BI is an asset. - Effective communication skills. - Good personal computer and business solutions software skills. - Good presentation skills. - Strong organization and time management skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
