Registered Pharmacist

Hy-Vee, Inc.

• Pre-verification of prescriptions and counseling for RedBox Rx patients in accordance with all state and federal statutes and regulations. • Assists with processing prescription orders from RedBox Rx providers and provides information on visit and treatment related inquiries. • Assists RedBox Rx patients via phone, chat and email. • Create and maintain patient profiles. • Perform drug utilization review and pre-verification of prescriptions. • Provides counseling to RedBox Rx patients in accordance with all state and federal statutes and regulations. • Works with co-workers as a team to ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures and facility policies. • Performs other related job duties and special projects as required. • Handles inquiries that require a pharmacist’s expertise and judgment. • Assists in training other employees. • Assists in adherence to quality assurance standards. • Adheres to all statutes and regulations pertaining to a pharmacist.

Job Requirements

  • College degree and active licensure as a registered pharmacist in Iowa with the ability to be licensed in additional states.
  • Six months to a year of similar work experience.
  • Current and active licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in California.
  • California Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) preferred.
  • Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near and far range with or without correction.
  • Must be able to physically exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, reaching, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
