Role Description As a Senior Manager of Site Reliability Engineering, you will lead GoDaddy's SRE Center of Excellence in India. You will hold a senior role in the overall engineering leadership team, supporting GoDaddy's growth of its engineering footprint in India and developing a high-performing, cross-time-zone, globally unified SRE team. - Establish a durable, scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud operations capability. - Support GoDaddy's progression from monolithic architectures to modular, multi-service platforms. - Champion a platform-as-a-product outlook, promoting engineering team independence while maintaining reliability, resilience, cost efficiency, and solid operational standards. - Manage a cross-functional, global platform organization that supports various products and works closely with feature teams in different time zones. - Balance building the local team in India with global coordination. - Empower product and feature teams to deliver independently, securely, and swiftly. - Transition from a platform-as-support framework to an authentic platform-as-a-product framework. - Support the development and continuous improvement of developer platforms for infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD, observability, database operations, incident response, and operational automation. - Strengthen incident management and improve availability while reducing operational toil. - Build a culture where reliability is engineered into systems. Qualifications - 12+ years of experience in software engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, cloud operations, or platform engineering. - 6+ years of engineering leadership experience, including leading distributed, international, or cross-functional platform, SRE, or infrastructure teams. - Experience directing and scaling units of 10–20+ engineers, including senior engineers, technical leads, or managers. - Established experience in constructing, enlarging, or reforming platform, infrastructure, cloud operations, or SRE organizations. - Experience leading a platform-as-a-product operating model. - Contributed to the modernization of large-scale systems. - Deep experience operating secure, reliable, and scalable systems in SaaS, cloud, multi-product, commerce, marketplace, hosting, or high-traffic environments. - Strong process orientation and experience implementing objectives and key results. - History of producing quantifiable results in developer productivity, platform adoption, reliability, operational efficiency, and cost reduction. - Effective communicator and influencer across engineering, product, security, architecture, and business teams. - Comfortable operating in fast-paced, global environments and working across multiple time zones. - Fluent in English with the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences. - Proven experience integrating globally distributed engineering cultures into a single operating cadence. - People-first leader who understands how to assemble high-performing teams. Requirements - Experience in large-scale SaaS, commerce, marketplace, domain, hosting, payments, or infrastructure-heavy businesses. - Familiarity with technologies such as Go, Python, AWS, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar platforms. - Experience with developer tools powered by AI or employing AI to boost engineering productivity. - Experience with event-driven architectures, data platforms, or platform engineering at scale. - Experience contributing to or leading open-source initiatives. - Experience with M&A, post-acquisition integration, platform consolidation, or large-scale engineering transformation. - Willingness to travel when necessary to work alongside international engineering groups.
