You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to help deliver effective treatments to our patients. You’ll build trust in these interactions by advocating, supporting, and educating your patients and their families. Your success in this role comes from your empathy and patience to help others during a vulnerable time in their lives. Success in this role means you: - Conduct initial intake assessment and evaluations, providing crisis intervention services when needed and assist in detection of high risk patients - You’re interacting with the patients throughout your day, so you’ll be the eyes and ears to notice any difference in patient health and behavior. - Offer linkages and referrals to appropriate services- Work independently and are able to successfully be self directed- Have a strong understanding of mental health diagnoses and evidence-based treatment methods, adherence to the W & I Codes, and professional and ethical behavior at all times. - FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY/STEWARDSHIP: - Adheres to time and attendance policy. Utilizes work time efficiently through proper time management, shows flexibility in work schedule so that it meets clinic, client and team's needs, contributes to the efficiency of the office by completing tasks in a timely manner so that other team members can complete their tasks. Required skills include assessment, formulation of treatment plans;intervention planning and follow through, providing documentation of services. Evaluating suicidal and homicidal risk and other high risk situations (i.e. psychotic process; drug/alcohol use/intoxication. - Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Masters degree in an appropriate behavioral science discipline. Maintain current continuing education units as required for license renewal. - Current unrestricted license in the State of California as a Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. - DSM IV and 5. Normal and abnormal psychology. Assessment skills and crisis intervention. Treatment planning and intervention skills. Individual and group treatment methods. Sensitivity to and awareness of cultural and ethnic diversity of clients. Ethical and legal issues. Community resources. Billing and documentation requirements Effective verbal and written communication skills. Maintain an appropriate balance between direct client contact and documentation time. Adhere to all client confidentiality requirements and standards. Manage significant electronic paperwork functions necessary to support insurance billing. Ability to manage the case load and schedule to meet productivity expectations; 75% of time must be spent in providing direct client services that can be billed. Ability to effectively resolve conflict and cope with crisis situations. Ability to establish and maintain rapport to engage clients effectively in treatment. Preferred Qualifications: - Three or more years post-licensure experience preferred due to insurance contract requirements. Experience working in substance abuse treatment, eating disorders and/or experience leading groups and classes is desirable - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Brief, focused therapy Comfort working broad age range from with youth through adults - Advanced training in any evidence-based practices is a plus. ***This position is remote within California.
