At FLSmidth, we’re looking for mechanically skilled professionals to join our Pumps, Cyclones & Valves (PCV) group as a Field Service Technician. You'll work on site at mine operations across Canada, helping install, commission, and troubleshoot some of the toughest, most reliable equipment in the business. This is a remote role (based in Eastern Canada, ideally Val-d'Or or Rouyn Nouranda), with frequent travel. Job Scope: - Provide hands-on mechanical support during installations, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of FLSmidth pumps, cyclones, and valves. - Assist mine site personnel in getting the most out of their equipment—improving uptime, performance, and wear life. - Support our sales team by identifying opportunities to upgrade or replace competitor equipment with FLS solutions. - Perform basic process evaluations like pump sizing and cyclone simulations (training provided if needed). - Deliver customer training on safe use, maintenance, and performance tips for our PCV products. - Prepare clean and professional field reports documenting your work and recommendations. Qualifications - 10+ years of mechanical experience, preferably in mining, heavy industry, or rotating equipment. - A college diploma or degree in a technical field is an asset, but not required. - Hands-on experience working with slurry pumps, cyclones, valves, or similar equipment. - Strong troubleshooting skills and a knack for solving mechanical issues under pressure. - Ability to work independently, communicate well with clients and teammates, and represent the company professionally on site. - Bilingual (English/French) is required. - Proficiency with basic tools like Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. • support the delivery of high-impact dashboards and reporting solutions used across the organization. • partner with senior Tableau developers and business stakeholders to help translate data into clear, intuitive visualizations that support decision-making. • build and enhance Tableau dashboards, assist with data modeling using SQL and cloud data sources such as Google BigQuery, and help support well-governed reporting solutions that can be scaled for broader enterprise use.

• Ship "virtual employee" workflows that do real work before humans engage: research, verification, prioritization, deduplication, and prep artifacts that cite evidence and flag unknowns. • Design the data foundations that let AI stitch together longitudinal operational signals across domains (customers, prospects, interactions, transcripts, product, ops, billing, support) into reliable workflows. Build evidence-first pipelines that produce structured outputs with provenance and uncertainty handling, and that store artifacts rather than overwriting truth. • Build a durable job execution system for agent workflows: retries, explicit budgets, idempotency, and monitoring. • Create shared abstractions for AI and data systems: tool interfaces, logging, cost tracking, evaluation harnesses, data contracts, SLAs, and reusable workflow components that increase trust in both data and AI outputs. • Partner with internal teams as customers. Define success metrics with them, design workflow delivery surfaces, and iterate based on adoption and impact. • Lead by example in AI-augmented engineering, using AI tools to increase velocity while maintaining architectural rigor.
