Client Assessment Specialist/BCBA

Helping Hands Family

Helping Hands Family is a top-rated ABA provider built around one belief: every community deserves a helping hand. Our outcomes back that up — Vineland and Quality of Life scores for our families consistently exceed national averages, and our BCBA retention is higher than the national benchmark. We grow by opening clinics where kids need services most, and we protect clinical quality as we scale by setting intentional limits on clinic and caseload size. When you join HHF, you join a team that gets better because it refuses to cut corners. Helping Hands Family is dedicated to a supportive, inclusive culture. From growing our team to the client treatment plans, we have committed to celebrating differences and helping everyone reach their highest potential. HHF is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, gender, sex, ancestry, citizenship status, mental or physical disability, genetic information, sexual orientation, veteran status, or military status.

Role Description You didn’t become a BCBA to push paper. You became one because you want to change what’s possible for kids with autism. In this role, you’re the person who starts that journey, the clinician who meets a family for the first time, sees the full picture, and builds the roadmap. As an Assessment Specialist, you’re the clinical starting point for every child we serve. You conduct comprehensive evaluations, write individualized treatment plans, and make sure each child gets the right services from day one and the right adjustments as they grow. You set the clinical direction for each child we serve. Your assessment is the foundation everything else is built on — and HHF gives you the tools, the access, and the autonomy to do it right, fully remotely from your home. - Conduct initial and ongoing assessments using tools like Vineland, VB-MAPP, CFQL, and FBA to understand each child’s unique profile. - Build individualized treatment plans with targeted goals across communication, social, adaptive, and behavior reduction domains. - Develop preliminary Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) so families and clinical teams hit the ground running. - Partner with BCBAs, Clinical Supervisors, and Clinic Directors to make sure your findings directly shape ongoing treatment. - Advocate for your clients through payer reviews, peer-to-peer conversations, and denial responses — you defend your clinical recommendations with confidence. - Collaborate with families to make sure what matters most to them is woven into every plan. Qualifications - You hold an active BCBA certification and state licensure (where required). - Willingness to get state licensure across the HHF operating geography. - You have 3+ years in ABA as a BCBA (RBT experience does not count for newly certified BCBAs). - You’re detail-oriented and deadline-driven — you know that a late auth is a gap in care. - You communicate well with families and colleagues alike — warm with caregivers, precise with clinical partners. - You’re collaborative by nature, not an island. You want a team behind you, and you want to be part of theirs. - Ability to travel 1-2 times per year for company trainings/meetings. Benefits - Base Salary Range: $85,000 — $100,000 USD. - Great Place to Work Certified™ in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. - Top-rated ABA provider dedicated to a supportive and inclusive culture. - Rewarding work experiences, including making a lasting impact on children’s lives.
