Role Description We are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to manage and process payroll accurately and efficiently for our organization. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of payroll systems, statutory compliance, tax regulations, and payroll reporting. This role requires excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to work under pressure within strict deadlines. - Process monthly, bi-weekly, or weekly payroll accurately and on time. - Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data. - Verify employee attendance, overtime, deductions, bonuses, commissions, and leave records. - Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, tax regulations, labor laws, and company policies. - Prepare and submit statutory deductions including PAYE, UIF, SDL, pension, medical aid, and other benefits. - Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly. - Generate payroll reports for finance, HR, and management. - Manage employee payroll queries professionally and confidentially. - Maintain accurate employee payroll records and documentation. - Coordinate with HR regarding new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary adjustments. - Support audits by providing payroll records and reports. - Ensure payroll system integrity and recommend process improvements where necessary. - Process year-end payroll activities including tax certificates and reconciliations. Qualifications - Diploma or Degree in Payroll Administration, Finance, Accounting, HR, or related field. - 3–5+ years of payroll administration experience. - Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory compliance. - Experience with payroll software such as Sage, VIP Payroll, PaySpace, Oracle, SAP, or similar systems. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. - High level of accuracy and attention to detail. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. - Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Requirements - Payroll certification will be advantageous. - Experience managing payroll for large employee headcounts. - Knowledge of HR and time-and-attendance systems. - Experience in multi-country payroll processing is an advantage. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
