• Partner with ML and Computational Chemistry researchers to translate internal scientific code and prototypes into robust, production-ready software systems for external product offerings. • Implement and integrate core scientific algorithms (ML, deep learning, physics-based simulation) into scalable product platforms. • Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary "pod" of engineers, computational chemists, AI experts, and product managers to define requirements, architecture, and deployment strategies for new features. • Ensure the scientific integrity and accuracy of research models (e.g., active learning, FEP, etc.) when deployed in production. • Drive the product lifecycle from scientific inception to external deployment, ensuring technical excellence and market fit.
Job Requirements
- PhD in chemistry, biology, or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a product-focused engineering or applied science role, specifically translating ML or computational chemistry research into production software in the private sector (biotech/pharma preferred).
- Experience deploying and maintaining machine learning models for scientific applications (e.g., molecular property prediction, multi-objective optimization).
- Proficiency with Python toolkits for scientific computing (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, SciPy) and machine learning (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch).
- Strong communication skills and a drive to collaborate with colleagues to identify problems and communicate technical solutions in an accessible manner.

Review work produced by junior staff for quality assurance. At the Operational and Company Level - Utilize and assist less experienced staff in understanding technical policies and procedures during the execution of projects for clients. - Assist with the marketing of the firm's capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships. Do the Work - Conduct field investigations, including wetland delineations, perennial flow evaluations, Resource Protection Area boundary delineations, threatened and endangered species habitat assessments and field surveys, forest stand delineations and natural resource inventories, and Phase I Environmental Site Assessments. - Create maps of sites for client. - Assist in the drafting of wetland use permit applications. - Compile reports summarizing the field investigation, analyze data, and prepare supporting maps and exhibits for Clients. - Assist in the drafting of Section 404/401 permit applications and impact exhibits to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and State and Local environmental agencies. - Prepare applications such as Water Quality Impact Assessment and RPA encroachment requests for Local approval, and NPDES permitting through States. - Work closely with senior environmental scientists to learn and assist with the Environmental team's work. Title: Research Scientist Location: Remote Job Description: Overview Current projections of sea level rise aren’t precise enough and potential solutions to mitigate the contributions of land based glaciers to sea level rise are underexplored. We aim to fund and accelerate existing research by increasing investments in Antarctic science as well as by internally developing accurate forecasts of sea level rise and the expected behavior of Antarctic glaciers. To achieve this we leverage state of the art computational methods combining physics and AI on remote sensing and field data.This role specifically is for the internal development of data driven physics and machine learning methods. Climate change is destabilizing marine ice sheets, creating a risk of catastrophic sea-level rise over the next century. Arête Glacier Initiative is a new nonprofit initiative dedicated to understanding this risk and assessing the efficacy, safety, and feasibility of potential interventions to stabilize ice sheets. We aim to fund, coordinate, and accelerate research to enable informed and legitimate societal decisions regarding these interventions.
