What our Client is looking for on this Project Dedicated Atlassian product expert with robust project management skills. You own the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management of the organization’s Atlassian suite of products (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, Bitbucket, Atlas, and related integrations). This role is accountable for advancing the platform vision: “Empower teams across the organization to deliver reliable, scalable services through a flexible and sustainable Atlassian platform.” What You Will Do As the Atlassian Platform expert you will lead various projects and be a strategic partner of our entire suite, including Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management. You are not just managing a tool; you are driving the vision and change for an ecosystem impacting approximately 800 users. You will: - Drive Strategy & Roadmap: Own the product vision and multi-horizon roadmap, ensuring priorities align with organizational goals and platform sustainability. - Lead a Technical Team: Manage and keep a small team of Atlassian admins aligned, ensuring they effectively execute hands-on technical work while you focus on the "wide view" of organizational impact. - Enforce Standards: Develop and drive processes, best practices, and guardrails to ensure a scalable and sustainable environment. - Facilitate Adoption: Secure organizational buy-in by effectively communicating the "why" behind business processes to drive high adoption. Champion the change you will be implementing by bringing together users and stakeholders for common goals and a true understanding of direction. - Monitor Innovation: Proactively evaluate emerging Atlassian features, such as AI and automation, to translate them into actionable initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- You are a proactive leader who can balance "big picture" thinking with enough technical depth to communicate effectively with admins and other business users.
- Minimum of 5+ years in Project Management, Business Systems Analysis, Product Management in the Atlassian Suite.
- A deep enough understanding of Atlassian Cloud to know what is possible and how it impacts the broader organization.
- Ability to maintain composure and assertiveness in a collaborative environment, ensuring necessary changes are adopted despite potential resistance. Must possess the conviction to advocate for the product's direction and push back appropriately when faced with challenges.
- Strong ability to elicit, analyze, and document complex requirements into functional designs and user stories.
- How You Will Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Prior experience owning or managing internal enterprise platforms or large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Atlassian certifications such as ACP-100, ACP-120, or ACP-420.
- Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and marketplace app evaluations over custom solutions.
- Expertise in Agile, ITSM, or DevOps frameworks.
