• Deploying, maintaining, and scaling DigitalOcean’s data center infrastructure • Racking, stacking, and cabling servers, power distribution units (PDUs), and network switches • Installing and commissioning servers, networking equipment, storage systems, and GPU infrastructure • Designing and executing large-scale infrastructure deployments including rack buildouts and cluster expansions • Supporting new data center builds and expansions through rack layout planning and infrastructure readiness validation • Deploying and troubleshooting high-density compute platforms including GPU and liquid-cooled infrastructure • Diagnosing and repairing hardware issues across servers, networking equipment, and storage systems • Debugging hardware, network, and Linux OS related issues • Submitting RMAs and managing hardware lifecycle replacements with equipment vendors • Managing shipping, receiving, and inventory tracking of data center hardware and components • Maintaining deployment documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures • Partnering with internal engineering teams to support hardware rollouts and infrastructure upgrades • Supporting operational readiness for new data center deployments • Participating in an on-call rotation to support infrastructure availability • Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team development
