Job Description
Product Designer
Pogo Technologies
Role Description As the second Product Designer at Pogo, you'll help lead the product design and creative direction for our new consumer insights product, which allows brands/retailers to connect with millions of purchase-verified consumers. This platform will ultimately be used by some of the largest companies in the world. - Design core product experiences end-to-end, from early exploration through launch and iteration for our up-and-coming B2B platform and consumer app with 3 million users (and growing). - Craft polished, delightful interfaces that build trust and showcase the power of our data and AI technology. - Sweat the details - layout, typography, spacing, color, motion, interactions. - Help define the product roadmap and lay the foundations for our design language, systems, and culture. - Find creative ways to ship high-quality work in a fast-paced, often ambiguous, startup environment. - Be 1 of 2 designers (for now), working cross-functionally with engineering and GTM. Qualifications - Likely 1-4 years of design experience, including experience designing software products. - Bonus if you’ve done this at a startup, or have designed AI interactions before! - Bonus if you have experience designing enterprise-grade products. - You design quickly and efficiently, using Figma to gain super powers and reach “escape velocity design”. - You’re a design nerd at heart with a very high bar for design quality. - You actively seek out the best-designed products/designers and collect references from various sources. - You actively use LLMs like ChatGPT or Claude in your design workflow. - You’re relentless in pursuing the best solution, willing to explore, iterate, and even scrap your own work if necessary. - You’re a full-stack designer, having designed experiences from scratch and working cross-functionally with product and engineering. - You have strong product intuition and create experiences that index on simplicity and clarity. Benefits - Above-market salaries & equity. - Unlimited PTO with a minimum 20 days vacation policy. Why you might be excited about this opportunity - Work on the design for an up-and-coming enterprise product. - Design matters a lot to us; you'll be joining a team that values best-in-class design. - Be surrounded by amazing product thinkers who have a unique obsession for product thinking. - Quick feedback loops; launch and get user feedback in a matter of hours. - Shape our design culture from the ground up as one of our early team members. Why you might not be excited about us - Priorities may shift quickly; tackling ambiguous problems without clear-cut answers. - You will be one of two designers (for now) with no typical design management overhead. - At times, you’ll need to design things in a day, living by a value called “Calculated Speed”. - We expect more than 9 to 5; raw hours make an impact at our current stage.
