Senior Vice President, Business Development – Services

• Leverage extensive experience to transform the Services business development organization into a high-performance culture, balancing team and individual achievement. • Build strong client relationships based on key account management best practices with emphasis on solution sales, multiple service lines, and complex sales situations. • Drive a culture of sell differentiation and assertively price and capture margin premium. • Lead multiple functional teams including key account management, proposal and sales support, specialist sales/SMEs, market intelligence, and sales operations. • Actively participate in key account teams to assure relationships at appropriate levels throughout client organizations. • Use your role and relationships to become a significant market participant and the face of SOLV’s Services. • Evolve existing SOLV Services proposal process to ensure high-quality output that aligns with the SOLV Energy brand and strong collaboration with key account team. • Lead thinking on target client strategy, driving the execution of Campaign Rooms and related resourcing. • Develop existing team to drive a “play-to-win” culture for priority Services projects and grow complimentary business lines and attachment rates. • Contribute to strategy development for SOLV Services representing the voice of the market, looking 'around the corner' for threats and opportunities. • Develop and implement KPI’s for the group to provide transparency and support the growth of the business. • Help develop performance-driven solutions for clients, and lead regular communications with developers to understand their business needs and how to drive reoccurring revenue. • Leverage the existing pipeline and customer relationships to organically grow Services, incorporating innovation and other advancements to drive SOLV’s advantage.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in business development related roles or equivalent with a consistent record of hitting targets both as a team leader and individual contributor.
  • Proven leadership skills in a business development organization with a key account management structure.
  • Experience in the Services sector where business is typically bid with cost-plus-fee estimates and awarded using lump-sum contracts; energy business experience is preferred with experience at the utility scale in the renewable energy market highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills including the ability to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Strong command of business processes, financial implications, and strategic objects coupled with the ability to communicate effectively up and down the organizational structure to drive change in these areas as needed.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills as well as Microsoft Office and CRM software tool proficiency.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to work with others under varied situations.
  • Travel of up to 50% of the time may be necessary to fulfill the objectives of the position.
