Environmental Project Manager, Biologist

• Complete environmental reviews for projects subject to CEQA, NEPA, and Native American policies • Prepare and/or oversee preparation of environmental compliance reports, program tracking, and provide program oversight • Provide environmental planning guidance and project management for impact analysis support • Collaborate with in-house biologists, archaeologists, and outside specialists • Become proficient in QA/QC of data results and reporting • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry guidelines • Coordinate with sub-consultants and project team members • Assist leadership with budget and schedule tracking
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Studies, or similar from an accredited four-year college or university
- 3+ years of experience in field of study
- Knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office, Google Suite, etc.)
- Strong problem solving and written/verbal communication skills
- Outgoing/team player with strong problem solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Organizational skills and attention to detail is a must
- Ability to works independently to quickly and accurately solve assigned tasks with minimal oversight, and also the ability to oversee and manage staff (working as a team)
- Ability to work in a quick paced environment

• Provide day-to-day management of field personnel to ensure quality work products are completed on time and with accuracy. • Provide review and technical oversight and guidance specific to field data collection and sampling events for stormwater, waste, and wastewater. • Provide scheduling and logistics management for a large number of monthly, quarterly and annual compliance activities conducted by a team of field personnel. • Review and understand environmental permits and reports for facilities and operations for clients in various industries including e-commerce, transportation and warehousing. • Must have a high degree of technical competency in NPDES stormwater (industrial and MS4), SPCC and RCRA. • Familiarity with applicable environmental programs including but not limited to Stormwater, SPCC, Hazardous Waste, and minor source air permitting, recordkeeping and reporting. • Client interaction and relationship development includes onsite and virtual client meetings. • Limited overnight travel, as necessary, up to 20%. • Effectively manage project deliverables, schedules and budgets. • Provide guidance to client and/or field staff specific to environmental legislation and regulations and how they may impact client activities. • Define and develop your own professional growth with mentoring from senior managers. • Flexible working conditions. • Assist Practice Leaders, Program Managers and Project Managers with contract administration, including drafting, reviewing, and tracking contract documents, amendments, sub-agreements, and compliance requirements. • Support project setup in internal systems, ensuring accuracy of budgets, billing rates, task codes, and contractual obligations. • Coordinate project communication cadence, deadlines, and deliverables with internal staff and external partners. • Maintain project files, documentation logs, subcontractor records, and any required QA/QC forms in designated systems. • Track project progress, deliverable status, risks, and issues; assist with preparing project status reports. • Support invoice preparation, accounts payable coordination, and monthly billing cycles. • Monitor aged receivables and support with collections when needed. • Schedule and coordinate project meetings, take notes, and distribute action items. • Provide general administrative support to project teams across the Compliance Assurance Practice Line.
