Technical Manager
Aviagen
• Supporting sales, service, and goals for assigned regional accounts. • Recommend and implement technical support strategies with assigned customers. • Identifying and tracking specific performance records and results for assigned accounts. • Work with the Account Manager in support of customer needs. • Maintain regular on-site customer visits and up-to-date customer visit reports. • Understand Aviagen’s technical management recommendations and work closely with all the business unit teams to implement best practices with our customers to attain the genetic potential of Aviagen birds. • Represent Aviagen at selected industry associations, seminars, events and functions. • Significant travel is required.
Job Requirements
- 5 years of experience in poultry production
- Bachelor of Science, or Bachelor of Arts Degree preferred
- Understanding of poultry technology and current best management practices in the following areas: Breeder Production, Broiler Production, Ventilation, and Processing
- Proficient communication skills including PowerPoint presentations, written and oral communication, negotiating and the ability to organize and lead meetings
- Proficient computer skills including the use of spreadsheets, computer databases and economic modeling.
