Senior Network Engineer

• Design, Configure, Implement and Support all network components. • Provide troubleshooting and diagnostic services. • Manage Routers, Switches and Firewalls. • Participate in Day-to-Day Operations of Hosting and Corporate environments. • Conduct and assist in product evaluations and research, including beta testing and analysis of network tools, hardware and software.
Job Requirements
- Experience with Firewall Technologies (Palo Alto).
- Experience with Routers and Switches (Juniper and Arista).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
- Good knowledge of Infrastructure Security and Policy.
- Expertise Level Layer 1 through 7 troubleshooting ability.
- Good knowledge of BGP, OSPF, Netflow, ECMP, EVPN-VXLAN, Layer 2/3 Switching & Routing and proficient in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs.
- English — B2+ and higher.

This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. • Provide operational support for clients’ network infrastructure including switches, routers, wireless access points, and firewalls • Address escalated tickets for complex operational issues in client networks • Maintain clients’ existing networks to ensure stability and compliance • Communicate with clients regarding status of open tasks daily • Assist with projects for data network design, development, and implementation • Follow established processes for all work, adhering to Ascend’s quality standards • Development of documentation for client networks, including network diagrams • Work with vendors for support case resolution • Assist in mentorship/training of junior engineers • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide off-hours support
