Qualifications - Minimum 5-7 years of experience in construction estimating, project coordination, or related field. - Exposure to civil construction, site development, utilities, or environmental services preferred. - Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. - Strong analytical and mathematical skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating software is a plus. - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. - Effective communication and ability to work cross-functionally. - Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow in the estimating field. Qualifications: - A bachelor's degree, preferably in construction management or engineering - Professional Engineer (PE) license or intent is encouraged and valued. - Must have knowledge/experience in self-performance contracting of all civil infrastructure scopes of work including earthwork/grading, underground utilities (e.g., water/sewer/storm), dewatering, demolition, road construction and repair, dam/levee construction and/or repair, and pavement / flatwork preparation. - Minimum of 10 years’ experience as an estimator or project manager in the heavy civil construction industry as a contractor’s employee. - Experience estimating federal projects is highly favorable. - Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills. - Ability to research each pursuit thoroughly, orally and graphically present a pursuit to a group, defend the logic used to construct the pursuit estimate, and modify the logic of the estimate to match a group consensus for each pursuit.
