Role Description This role serves as a strategic analytics partner supporting both Managed Care and Corporate Services initiatives. Responsibilities include: - Leading and performing payor contract modeling and financial analysis. - Conducting reimbursement analytics and enterprise trend reporting. - Providing growth and market analytics and strategic decision support. - Working closely with executive and operational leaders to identify key business drivers, evaluate organizational performance, and develop actionable insights that support financial, managed care, and operational goals. - Providing mentorship to analytics team members and supporting ad hoc strategic and operational analytics needs. This is a fully remote position with flexible working hours between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday. Responsibilities - Complete financial impact analysis of all managed care contract activity, including modeling financial terms, developing contract proposals, identifying reimbursement opportunities, and recommending strategies for revenue optimization. - Monitor and evaluate the financial performance of existing contracts, including impacts from methodology, fee schedule, regulatory, and reimbursement policies from payors and other external sources (CMS, Medicaid, etc.). - Extract, validate, analyze, and manipulate large and complex datasets utilizing tools and programming languages such as SQL, SAS, and Python. - Lead strategic and operational analytics initiatives related to organizational growth, including evaluation of new services, market expansion opportunities, and supply-and-demand dynamics across service areas. - Support enterprise operational and strategic analytics for centralized service functions, including departments such as Centralized Patient Services and Finance, through trend analysis, forecasting, workflow evaluation, and performance reporting. - Develop and present clear, concise, and actionable analytic findings and executive-level reporting through dashboards, visualizations, and work products in Excel, Tableau, and Power BI. - Partner with enterprise leadership to support financial forecasting and strategic planning through year-over-year trend analysis, incorporating contractual changes, case mix, utilization, volume, payor mix, and other key operational and financial drivers. - Provide consultative analytics leadership to Lumexa leadership related to managed care strategy, organizational growth initiatives, operational performance, and other strategic priorities. - Lead, mentor, and support the professional development of analytics team members while promoting best practices in analytic methodology and reporting. Qualifications - 6+ years of experience in a healthcare analytics role to include knowledge of healthcare claims and code sets. - 3+ years of experience with SQL or other similar programming language to include creating, editing, and executing code to successfully manipulate and extract large healthcare datasets. - 6+ years of experience in demonstrated ability to present data and analytic observations through impactful visual storytelling utilizing Tableau or Power BI. - Advanced proficiency in Excel to include extensive experience in the use of complex formulas and pivots. - Prefer some knowledge of CMS professional payment methodology (i.e. CMS MPFS, CMS drug pricing). Education - Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, Health Administration, or other closely related fields.
