Role Description UW Medicine IT Services has an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Cogito Developer. - 100% remote opportunity - 15 days of vacation your first year - 12 days of sick time - 1 personal holiday - 11 paid holidays each year - 100% matching, 100% immediately vesting 403(b) Primary job responsibilities include: - Identify business and technical impacts of user requirements and articulate to all constituents. - Assume responsibility for the quality and delivery of technology business solutions. - Create ad hoc and ongoing reports and other data outputs to support the clinical and business needs for the enterprise. - Collaborate with Analytics leadership to help set direction, standards, process for a team of Cogito and BI Developers. - Work with Analytics Business Analysts, Clinical Informatics, application teams, and customers to gather, analyze, and document reporting requirements. - Design, code, test, and maintain reporting and analytics objects, utilizing industry best practices. - Utilize Epic’s Cogito suite of tools to deliver data solutions. - Provide production support and respond to help desk tickets related to the BI development tool set and Epic Cogito suite. - Mentor and provide guidance, direction, and support to other developers. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Information Systems, Math, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of experience/education. - Currently holds 2 or more current Epic certifications OR has obtained Epic proficiency and has consistently demonstrated technical competencies for 3+ years in relevant functional/business area. - Certification in Epic Cogito Fundamentals is required. - Certifications or experience with patient access applications. - 4+ years of experience must include: - 4+ years’ recent healthcare or IT experience. - 3+ years' experience with BI reporting tools. - 3+ years’ experience with Epic Cogito reporting tools (SlicerDicer, SQL Metrics, Reporting Workbench, Radar Dashboards). - Strong, applied experience with Epic Clarity Data Model and Reporting for medium to large scale projects. - Strong, applied experience working through the complete report development lifecycle for medium to large scale projects. - Complete and demonstrable understanding of BI reporting best practices, including requirements gathering. - High level of awareness of the current and future BI technologies.
