Principal Technical Solutions Consultant
Vendavo
• In this high visibility position, you will play a critical role representing our delivery organization in pre-sales engagements, ensuring technical feasibility of the proposed implementation solutions, helping to deliver significant value to our clients. • The Technical Solutions Director will help to drive Vendavo’s service bookings by providing technical expertise to our sales and strategic solutions team during the process of analyzing client requirements and mapping these to our solutions. This will include providing clients with an understanding of our integration capabilities, and ownership of technical feasibility analysis with our product management and delivery organization. • Own the creation and continual improvement of our technical sales collateral. • Participate in implementation workshops and be responsible for identifying solution extensions that will need to be accounted for in the project estimates. • Own project estimation, which will require interaction with our solution architect and product management teams. • Ensure continued refinement of our baseline estimation models, including managing the feedback loop between estimates and actuals after project delivery. • Own creation of a solution extension catalogue to ensure repeatability of future estimation including post-delivery documentation of configured extension details and storage of the code (where possible). • The Technical Solutions Director will gain extensive customer-facing experience through frequent customer and partner interaction, including the opportunity to interact with the key decision makers at our prospects and customers. • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- 8 to 11 years of experience in similar role in software, applications, or software professional services/consulting
- Vendavo experience as a Solution Architect or as a Solution Architect with other enterprise pricing solutions is a definite plus
- Prefer a Bachelor's degree in CS, CE or EE, MBA highly desirable
- Demonstrated track record of designing and implementing complex solutions for enterprise-level customers
- Experience with Integration design and object/data modeling
- SAP or other ERP integration experience a plus
- Prior technical or development background - experience with Java/J2EE/C#/.Net/Javascript/HTML and Oracle/DB2/SQL Server is a plus.
- Executive presence, customer interaction experience, and ability to gain confidence of senior-level executives
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, in particular the ability to present complex concepts in an organized, accessible and articulate manner to both commercial and technical audiences
- The discipline to work alone and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a small, high performance team
- Willing to travel up to 25%
