Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a UI/UX Developer to support our government customer. The selected applicants will join the team as we seek to deliver world-class capabilities for our client and their associated contractors, driving productivity and innovation. This team supports system architecture and design, infrastructure and OS level support, commercial tool integration, and application support. This position will include the following duties and responsibilities: Responsibilities include:• Information Architecture & Strategy: Audit legacy applications to identify friction points and define the structural design of shared information environments.• UX Audit & Synthesis: Analyze features from both existing tools to determine the most efficient path for interface consolidation or new application design.• User Research & Discovery: Lead usability testing with cleared personnel and translate complex mission requirements into intuitive user flows and wireframes.• Design System Ownership: Establish and maintain a scalable Design System/UI Kit in Figma to ensure visual and functional consistency across the new application.• Iterative Development: Architect and develop responsive, "user-first" web interfaces using modern frameworks (React/Angular), ensuring designs are pixel-perfect.• Accessibility: Ensure all designs meet Section 508 compliance standards for high-stakes environments. Required Education, Experience, & Skills - 13 Years of experience in Systems or IT related roles or a highly related field of work with similar scope and responsibilities. - A Bachelor's degree may be substituted for 4 years of experience and a Master's Degree may be substituted for 6 years of experience• Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. Information Architecture (IA): Proven ability to organize complex data sets into intuitive navigation models and sitemaps. - Design Tools: Mastery of Figma (auto-layout, components, and prototyping) and Adobe XD. - Frontend Engineering: Experience building user-facing web applications using React, Angular, or Vue. - Web Fundamentals: Expert proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript. - Integration: Experience integrating interfaces with RESTful Services. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills • Experience implementing SCSS/SASS and micro-animations for user feedback.• Experience with Java Web, NodeJS, or AWS environments.• Experience managing code via GitLab and working in an Agile/Scrum framework.• Experience using Web Sockets for live data updates.• Experience generating technical documentation and User Stories. Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $126610 - $215270 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Role Description We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented User Experience Researcher and Workflow Analyst to join our Business Applications team. This unique role will be focused on enhancing the internal user experience of our Salesforce platform and optimizing end-user workflows. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of user research, process analysis, and UX design skills.
