This role focuses on ensuring stable line performance, maximizing throughput, and reducing cycle time. By handling abnormalities and driving improvement activities, the engineer contributes to on-time delivery and strengthens Fab competitiveness. Additionally, the role strongly promotes automation and efficiency in shift operations. Key Responsibilities - Monitor production line performance and adjust line balance - Analyze KPIs such as cycle time, throughput, and utilization; propose improvement actions - Manage lot flow and set priorities based on production plans (e.g., Lot Priority) - Respond quickly to abnormalities and perform troubleshooting and recovery - Collaborate with DX and OMT teams to implement automation and efficiency initiatives - Share information across shifts and prepare operational report - This position requires shift work (4-on/4-off): Day shift: 08:00-20:15 (10h 30m work / 105m break) / Night shift: 20:00-08:15 (10h 15m work / 120m break) Accountabilities - Ensure stable Fab operations during assigned shift - Make quick decisions and execute recovery during emergencies - Drive improvement activities to meet KPI targets - Work closely with team members to improve FabPace Required Skills - 3+ years of hands-on experience with: KPI analysis using Excel and SQL, Troubleshooting and rapid root-cause analysis during abnormal events - Native-level Japanese proficiency (equivalent to JLPT N1) - Ability to work on a 4-on/4-off shift schedule Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing operations (process flow, line management, cycle time improvement) - Strong communication skills for collaboration with operators and DX teams - Basic IT skills (MES operation, report preparation, usage of standard tools) - English communication skills for emails and simple reporting - English report writing required; translation tools may be used About Micron Technology, Inc. Role Description Our client is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and organized Production Planner to support manufacturing operations by coordinating and scheduling production activities.
