Solutions Development Engineer

Role Description The Solutions Development Engineer is a key technical contributor tasked with transforming the way we deliver Managed Services by creating and implementing cutting-edge cloud solutions. This pivotal role demands a deep understanding of cloud technologies, including Azure, AWS, and M365, and a strong commitment to solving technical challenges while ensuring service excellence. As a Solutions Development Engineer, you will play a central role in crafting and deploying cloud solutions that address the evolving requirements of our managed clients. You will closely collaborate with the Solutions Development Architect to ensure that our Managed Cloud Services are at the forefront of industry standards in terms of performance, scalability, security, and compliance. Your responsibilities will include: - Building and deploying cloud solutions - Diagnosing and resolving technical issues - Automating processes for improved efficiency - Monitoring and optimizing cloud service performance - Seamlessly integrating these services into our existing systems Qualifications - 5+ years of combined IT Infrastructure, cloud (Azure/AWS), and workplace (Microsoft 365) experience - Proven experience in cloud service development and deployment - Proficiency with either Python or PowerShell (extra points for both) - In-depth knowledge of cloud services: Application integration, functions, Cloud Databases, data warehouse and analytics, Machine Learning, Developer Tools, Security, and identity management - Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (example: Terraform / Azure RM/Bicep, CloudFormation) - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to understand and address customer needs - Strong organization skills and attention to detail - Self-interest in maintaining updated knowledge with technology (industry) best practices - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Positive attitude with creative thinking - Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Engineer, Azure Administrator) - Experience with project management methodologies is a plus - Nice to have - Managed Service operations/ITIL experience Requirements A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $91,200 to 114,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, education, and related certification. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.
