Job Description

VP – Product Development

The Muse

• Responsible for comprehensive product development for all assigned lines of business • Ideation, prioritization, design and successful launch of new or enhanced products • Leads cross-functional teams in understanding the link between PURE’s vision and strategies and department initiatives • Consistent iteration of long-term product roadmaps • Identification, exploration, negotiation, and nurturing of new and existing strategic partnerships • Steer internal and external research for emerging trends, member needs and competitor offerings • Lead the cross-functional collaboration with Underwriting, Claims, Marketing, Sales and all other stakeholders • Partner closely with Technology to effectively program and deliver new product builds • Create delightful and compelling member and broker experiences for any touchpoint • Identify, explore, and pursue external data sources that could provide value to our products • Lead collaboration with the Actuarial Pricing, Data & Analytics, and State Product Management departments • Lead a team within the Product Development organization • Champions organizational transformation and talent development • Act as a subject matter expert on committees/external panels/forums/rate hearings.

Job Requirements

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in Property & Casualty insurance
  • High net worth personal lines insurance experience preferred
  • Proven ability to translate strategy into measurable performance outcomes
  • Exceptional analytical capability and executive judgment
  • Ability to influence and align senior leaders across functions
  • Highest level of integrity and accountability
  • Proven experience leading teams and important initiatives through a consultative leadership style and growth mindset
  • Deep knowledge of the P&C insurance industry, competitors, insurance product pricing, financial drivers of profitability; comprehensive understanding of legislative and insurance regulation.
