• The Salesforce Pipeline Engineer will support the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) Loan Guaranty Service (LGY) within the production operations environment. • The Salesforce Pipeline Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining Salesforce deployment pipelines, supporting automated builds and deployments, and ensuring code changes are promoted through environments in accordance with VA OIT release management processes.
Job Requirements
- Manage and maintain Salesforce deployment pipelines supporting LGY environments.
- Configure and maintain automated deployment processes for Salesforce code and metadata.
- Support release deployments coordinated by the Release Manager.
- Troubleshoot Salesforce deployment failures and environment issues.
- Maintain version control practices for Salesforce development artifacts.
- Coordinate environment promotions between development, testing, and production environments.
- Monitor pipeline performance and deployment success metrics.
- Ensure deployments comply with OIT change management policies.
- Maintain documentation for Salesforce deployment processes and procedures.
- Work with development teams to ensure Salesforce code is deployment-ready.
- Required Skills: **
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience supporting Salesforce development or deployment environments.
- Experience managing Salesforce CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce environments and metadata management.
- Preferred Skills**
- Experience supporting VA or federal government systems.
- Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce Platform certification.
- Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools (Gearset, Copado, AutoRABIT, or similar).
- Familiarity with AWS-based integrations.
- Knowledge of ITIL change management processes.

Role Description This program provides IT services focused on building, securing, and operating the Department of Veteran Affairs LGY’s home loan product-line technology. The contract’s purpose is to modernize and sustain critical home loan technology systems that support LGY’s delivery of mortgage-related services to program stakeholders, to provide continuous delivery and security integration. The DevOps Engineer will support the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) Loan Guaranty Service (LGY). The DevOps Engineer will support the automation, maintenance, and reliability of LGY development and deployment pipelines, ensuring that system environments and deployments remain stable, secure, and compliant with VA OIT standards. This role will work closely with development, operations, and release management teams to support CI/CD processes and ensure efficient environment management across the LGY platform. - Maintain and support CI/CD pipelines used for LGY deployments across development, test, and production environments. - Monitor pipeline health and troubleshoot deployment failures. - Implement DevOps best practices to improve pipeline efficiency and reliability. - Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are deployment ready. - Assist with environment troubleshooting and deployment diagnostics. - Document DevOps processes, pipeline configurations, and operational procedures. - Support continuous improvement of deployment automation and infrastructure reliability.
