Role Description The BIM Modeller supports the development, coordination, and maintenance of high-quality 3D architectural BIM models and documentation using Autodesk Revit. The role ensures accurate and compliant project delivery through effective model coordination, application of Australian Standards and National Construction Code (NCC) requirements, and adherence to established BIM workflows and documentation standards. - Develop, maintain, and update high-quality 3D architectural BIM models using Autodesk Revit. - Produce accurate and coordinated documentation from BIM models in line with project markups and delivery requirements. - Interpret and apply Australian Standards and National Construction Code (NCC) requirements within documentation, identifying and escalating non-compliance issues. - Support model coordination across architectural and consultant disciplines, identifying clashes, inconsistencies, and design impacts. - Follow project workflows, track task completion, and proactively raise RFIs or clarification requests where required. - Assist in maintaining BIM standards, templates, Revit families, and internal documentation workflows to ensure consistency and efficiency. - Monitor and maintain model health, ensuring models remain optimised, structured, and suitable for documentation outputs. - Collaborate closely with project teams, including architects, consultants, and BIM team members, to support coordinated project delivery. - Support internal BIM systems and contribute to helpdesk or ticketing workflows where required. - Manage time effectively across multiple projects, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are consistently met to a high standard. - Engage in continuous improvement through self-directed learning, training, and adoption of evolving BIM methodologies. - Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team environment, maintaining strong communication and stakeholder relationships. - Monitor system and workflow performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and delivery outcomes. - Other roles specific duties as they arise. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Design, Construction, or a related discipline. - 1–3 years’ experience using Autodesk Revit in a professional or academic setting. - Demonstrated experience working within an architectural practice or architecture-led project environment is highly preferred. - Strong understanding of BIM workflows, documentation standards, and model coordination principles. - Working knowledge of Australian Standards and the National Construction Code (NCC). - Ability to produce accurate documentation and translate markups into deliverables with minimal supervision. - High attention to detail, with a strong focus on quality control and accuracy. - Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing project scopes and deadlines. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams. - Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn, improve, and take ownership of outputs. - Experience supporting BIM standards, libraries, or internal systems is desirable. - Exposure to tools such as Navisworks, ACC, or other coordination platforms highly advantageous.
