Role Description The Leader of Infrastructure Platform Services is responsible for the strategy, reliability, security, and operational excellence of the company’s core digital infrastructure. This role leads the teams that design, operate, and continuously improve private cloud hosting, datacenter services, and core infrastructure services that underpin all digital products and business operations. The role ensures highly available, scalable, and resilient platforms through modern Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, strong security controls, and proactive observability. As a foundational digital leader, this position partners closely with Security, Cloud, Product, and Enterprise Architecture teams to enable business growth while maintaining stability, compliance, and cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities - Own the end-to-end strategy and operations for private cloud hosting and datacenter environments, including compute, storage, and virtualization platforms. - Lead capacity planning, performance engineering, and scalability initiatives to meet current and future business demands. - Establish and operate resilience, backup, and disaster recovery strategies aligned to business continuity requirements. - Implement and mature Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and incident management. - Drive automation, standardization, and infrastructure-as-code to improve reliability, speed, and operational efficiency. - Lead post-incident reviews and continuous improvement programs focused on reducing risk and improving service availability. - Own enterprise core services including internal and external DNS, domain portfolio management, and SSL certificate lifecycle management. - Ensure secure, reliable managed file transfer services for internal and external business use cases. - Establish comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting across infrastructure and identity platforms. - Ensure proactive detection of performance, availability, and security issues through modern observability tooling. - Define and report on operational KPIs, SLAs, and XLAs to executive stakeholders. - Partner with Cybersecurity and Risk teams to ensure platforms meet security, regulatory, and compliance requirements. - Reduce operational and cyber risk through strong controls, access governance, and secure platform design. - Support audits, regulatory reviews, and risk assessments related to infrastructure and identity services. - Own operational budgets, cost optimization initiatives, and vendor relationships for private cloud, datacenter, and core services. - Drive transparency and financial discipline through capacity forecasting, cost modeling, and vendor performance management. - Build, lead, and develop high-performing infrastructure and SRE teams. - Foster a culture of accountability, engineering excellence, and continuous learning. - Establish clear career paths, skill development plans, and succession strategies. Qualifications - Requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience. - 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or reliability engineering leadership roles. - Proven experience operating private cloud, datacenter, and enterprise identity platforms at scale. - Strong background in SRE, high-availability architectures, and disaster recovery. - Experience with DNS, SSL certificate management, and internet-facing enterprise services. - Demonstrated ability to lead complex, mission-critical platforms in regulated environments. - Experience in cloud-adjacent or hybrid environments (private cloud integrated with public cloud). - Familiarity with modern observability platforms and AIOps capabilities. - Experience supporting business separations, carve-outs, or large-scale platform transformations.
