Role Description The Lead PMO, CSI Procurement (Clinical Consumables and Equipment, Supply Chain, and Infrastructure) is the strategic partner and Project office holder for the scope team they support. You will sit on the leadership team of the Procurement area you support, and fill a critical shaping role in how work is executed to meet the needs of Procurement and the business area you’re aligned to. Tasks and activities: - Owns and provides proactive regular performance (Project and financial) updates and reporting to FME Management Board or Business Executive Leadership including the procurement leadership team. - Overall tracking, addressing of gaps (resolution paths) and presenting progress against Procurement performance targets and forecasted pipeline to leadership. - Fills Project Management office role: Supports the VP Procurement in structuring and organizing their teams (internally) ways of working. - Partners with the VP and his/her leadership team to shape and manage information & Comms flow to stakeholders (internally across the in scope Procurement team and externally as needed to other functions and/or supplier networks). - A triage point for issue resolution and risk identification in projects within and across the sub teams supported. - Leads the VP and his/her team through the annual processes to identify, plan and deliver the range of the targeted savings as agreed with the CPO and CFO. - Acts as the CoE & P&P SPOC for the VP and vice versa; coordinating Category Management feedback and communicating opportunities to Global CoE and Global Process and Platforms team. - Connectivity with G&A (e.g., Global Transformation Office, Compliance, Legal, HR, GIA, Tax, etc) to ensure that Procurement is aligned & well-connected with the various business functions. - Acts as an ambassador of Global Procurement and provides input to the development and deployment of the procurement vision and strategy. - Develops and maintains to high accuracy the cost savings, cost avoidance and working capital pipelines. - With the support of the analytics team, is responsible for holding up a mirror on performance to the VP of Procurement and their team. - Develop Project Plans: Create comprehensive project plans outlining stakeholders, scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timing. - Monitor Progress: Track project milestones and deliverables, updating stakeholders regularly. - Manage Changes: Implement change control processes to manage alterations in project scope, schedule, and costs. - Evaluate Performance: Use project management tools and techniques to measure project performance and make necessary adjustments. - Develop Mitigation Plans: Create and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery. - Maintain Documentation: Keep comprehensive project documentation, including risk logs, project plans, and status reports. - Owns and runs selected strategic projects on behalf of the VP Procurement. - Identifies, coordinates and implements organizational improvements (e.g. transformation, capability building, system and process adoption, sustainable procurement). - Coordinates and consolidates Risk Management activity. - May be asked to lead initiatives and projects that exist beyond or outside category specific projects. - Networks and leverages/ensures standards and best practice approaches are deployed in projects being delivered. Qualifications - Bachelors degree required. - 7-10 years of professional experience in Procurement and/or Analytics and project management with a strong preference towards prior experience in management consulting. - Additional experience in change & communications, coupled with procurement, finance or business roles is desirable. - Ability to work within a multidisciplinary & multicultural team. - Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills with ability to alternate between helicopter view and high attention to detail & accuracy. - Ability to execute high quality (quantitative & qualitative) analyses to communicate a story to key stakeholders. - Ability to prioritize manage multiple priorities. - Demonstrated ability to build trust and lasting relationships with key stakeholders. - Diplomatic skills to influence others at all levels of the business and manage relationships with internal clients. - Strong skills in creating and maintaining project and program plans. - Proven track record for planning, executing, monitoring and closing projects. - Excellent written/oral communication skills for reports and presentations. - Willingness to travel occasionally (20%).
