Director, Finance Analytics – Reporting

• Player-Coach : Demands the ability and flexibility to balance hands-on execution tasks including coding, analysis, and dashboard development with team leadership providing oversight, management and support to a team of analysts. • Strategic Partner : Serve as an analytics and business partner to Finance (FP&A, Accounting, Revenue Operations). Provides strategic & analytics insights to enable the achievement of short-term and long-term goals. • Project Management : Oversee complex, multi-departmental projects by identifying strategic requirements, collaborating with senior operational teams, and managing enterprise-level milestones through implementation while ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. • Control Governance : Responsible for maintaining SOX-compliant internal controls over financial reporting, including access controls, IT general controls, change management, and segregation of duties; ensuring thorough documentation, periodic testing, and management review processes are in place to validate control effectiveness and support accurate audit reporting. • Lifetime Value : Own the maintenance, development and adherence to audit controls of Lifetime Value (LTV) models used for financial forecasting, revenue recognition and business optimization. Analyze and evaluate changes to retention performance, constraints and overall risks associated to the models. • Business Intelligence : Oversee the design and delivery of centralized financial reporting solutions on the analytics platform. Guide the development of governed financial datasets and reusable analytical assets that lead the transition from fragmented manual reporting toward automated, scalable reporting environments that ensure consistency, usability, and adoption across the organization. • Revenue & Cash Reporting : Lead initiatives to support finance and accounting operations, through reporting for revenue automation, cash collection, commission forecasts, policy auditing, partner accounts payables, agent compensation and bank transactions. • Membership Reporting : Build dashboards to monitor growth in Membership and decompose period-over-period drivers of change. Serve as strategic thought partner to the business in bridging the gap between operational and financial membership reporting.

Job Requirements

  • +15 years of related experience
  • Undergraduate degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related degree.
  • Advanced skills with BI tools (preferably Tableau) and how to prepare data and associated visualizations to maximize impact.
  • Expert SQL experience with ability to manipulate data quickly, efficiently and develop complex scalable data models to support reporting solutions.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with diverse groups of internal clients.
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques and concepts (regression, statistical tests and proper usage, sampling, etc.).
  • Solid programming skills with knowledge of Python. Familiarity with Databricks, git and version control is preferred.
  • Understanding of financial metrics (e.g. LTV, CAC, revenue, cash collection, commissions, accounts payable, retention, churn, etc.) and experience translating data into actionable insights
  • Experience implementing and managing SOX controls, including ITGC, access management, change management, and audit processes, with a track record of supporting control documentation, testing, and successful internal or external audits.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and presentation skills.
  • Proven experience in participating with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives.
  • Strong communication skills and proven history of translating concepts and knowledge between technical and non-technical teams.
