QA Tester – Automation Tester

• Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of the Athena Master Reference Data Platform • Design, document, and execute comprehensive automated testing plans covering unit, integration, and end-to-end regression testing • Develop and maintain automated test scripts specifically for data validation • Integrate automated test suites into the CI/CD pipeline • Collaborate with developers to define 'Definition of Done' criteria • Perform deep-dive data validation using SQL • Collaborate with Data Engineers and Architects to identify, document, and track defects • Build and maintain automated regression test suites to support continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) cycles • Validate API endpoints and downstream data consumption points • Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and completeness

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years experience
  • 3-5 years experience
  • 5-10 years experience in developing automated testing frameworks for data-centric platforms (using Python, PyTest or Great Expectations)
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for complex data analysis, validation, and backend testing
  • Proven experience in testing Master Data Management (MDM) and Reference Data platforms or large-scale data warehouse environments
  • Proven track record of implementing automated testing plans with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD environments
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Selenium, or Robot Framework) and Azure DevOps/Jira for defect management
  • Familiarity with Kafka / streaming data validation
  • Exposure to OpenSearch / Elasticsearch for data validation and querying
  • Experience with MDM platforms (Reltio preferred)
