Technical Specialist I – Recycled Content
SCS Global Services
• Provide technical support to the program manager and meet program quality control and accreditation requirements. • Conduct both onsite and desk audits according to standards and program requirements following ISO 9001 auditing guidelines. • Complete audits by adhering to agreed timelines, using the most updated program templates. • Support the documentation, communication, and closure of audit findings. • Maintain audit timeline and tracking per assessment project. • Provide high level of customer service throughout the audit process. • Communicate promptly with SCS staff on scheduling of audits and revisions to draft reports. • Deliver certification services in accordance with SCS Corporate and Program Quality requirements. • Support program staff in developing and testing any new program templates, as needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in quantitative sciences (e.g., Engineering, Life Sciences, Chemistry) and 2+ years of professional experience in a related sector.
- Professional and technical experience in manufacturing facilities within the consumer electronics industry, metals industry, plastics recycling, textile/apparel industry, building materials, or other relevant industry sector or auditing experience.
- Excellent technical writing, observation, and data management skills.
- Strong communication and demonstrated abilities in critical thinking and data analysis.
- Fluency in English with experience that includes professional and technical verbal and written communication with clients.
- Strong organization skills with proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
- Thrives in a deadline-driven environment by completing complex tasks and deliverables on-time.
- Highly detail oriented with the ability to interpret standard requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; advanced level in Excel.
- Initiative and ability to work independently, responsive and adaptive to a team environment.
- Preferred: Lead Auditor in ISO 14001 or 9001; Bilingual or Multilingual in Spanish, Mandarin, German, French.
