Summary: Donnelley Financial Solutions (DFIN) is seeking a highly detail-oriented Mail Sortation Analyst to support mail list processing and postal data operations. This role is responsible for transforming, validating, and preparing large customer datasets to meet USPS regulations, print production requirements, and internal quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong technical aptitude, advanced Excel skills, and experience working with structured data in a mailing, print, or production environment. Responsibilities: • Process, manipulate, and convert customer mail files from multiple formats (CSV, fixed-length, tab-delimited, Excel, XML). • Utilize mail sortation and data processing tools such as FoxPro, UltraEdit, Redpoint, Excel, and postal software. • Apply knowledge of USPS mail classes, categories, and postal regulations. • Audit large datasets to identify formatting errors, missing records, or alignment issues. • Perform advanced data manipulation in Microsoft Excel, including macros and PivotTables. • Troubleshoot encoding, delimiter, and structural issues within large datasets. • Partner with internal teams and external clients to resolve data-related issues. • Maintain consistent verification and quality control practices across all assigned work. • Support customers with data corrections, clarifications, and processing timelines • Keep production running smoothly with occasional team tasks or auxiliary assignments. Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalency. • 2 years of hands-on experience with functions, PivotTables, data imports/exports and creating macro enabled workbooks. • 2 years of experience auditing and validating large data sets including error detection and issue resolution. Preferred Qualifications: • Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Data Science . • 2 years of experience with postal sortation software and USPS regulations. • Programming or scripting experience in a Microsoft environment. • Background in print production or variable data printing.
