Security Electronics Technician III
Cherokee Federal
• Planning, procurement, installation, daily on-site maintenance, upgrades, replacements, and preventive maintenance on all systems. • Inventory capture of all electronic security equipment and updating as needed. • Providing technical assistance to team members and acting as the tech expert to the customer. • Electrical troubleshooting, device testing, and installation of electronic components. • Following or referring to layout sheets, building plans, and technical guidance. • Documenting, scheduling, and closing work orders with detailed descriptions.
Job Requirements
- Approximately 3+ years of experience in government or commercial installations and locations preferred.
- Demonstrated experience and training in electronics basics and circuit skills.
- Experience in installation, maintenance, upgrade, and support of systems like ACS, IDS, and VSS.
- Experience with centralized monitoring systems such as Identiv, Honeywell, and Bosch preferred.
- Formal training in basics of electronics and circuitry from technical schools or industry vendor training classes.
- Must be skilled in the use of test equipment like digital multimeters, toner tracer, and video test monitor.
- Certification as an installer of equipment such as Identiv/Hirsch, Software House, Bosch, Honeywell, and Exacq.
- Ability to lift or move items up to 25 lbs.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to obtain at least a Department of Treasury clearance.
- GED Required.
- Mandatory VSS, ACS, and IDS experience.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
