• Build and improve financial models that support forecasting, budgeting, scenario analysis, and long-range planning. • Prepare reporting packs for senior stakeholders and the Board. • Help translate business activity into financial outcomes and explain what it all means to people who don't speak spreadsheet. • Work with teams across the business to gather inputs, challenge assumptions, and sharpen forecast accuracy. • Support revenue forecasting by analysing trends, pricing, and business performance, then distilling it into clear, actionable insight for senior stakeholders and the board. • Contribute to the implementation of our new FP&A tool, including design, data structure, and adoption. • Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to improve the quality, speed, and impact of financial analysis and reporting. • Support ad hoc strategic and operational projects.

Job Requirements

  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent qualification or part qualified.
  • Two to five years of experience in an FP&A or management accounting role, ideally in a SaaS or technology business.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large, complex data sets.
  • A genuine interest in using AI tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT, or automation workflows) to work smarter and produce better insight.
  • Tech-savvy and open to learning new tools; experience with an FP&A planning platform (e.g. Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Planful) and Xero is a bonus.
  • Able to turn complex data into clear, simple stories that influence decisions for finance and non-finance audiences alike.
  • Curious, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • A natural collaborator who enjoys working across teams to solve problems.

SUMMARY: The Senior Underwriter is responsible for underwriting small business, corporate, municipal, and non-profit credit card applications, and credit line increase requests. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: This position requires in-depth knowledge to read, analyze and interpret personal and corporate financial documents including the balance sheet, income statement, tax returns and cash flow statement.    Underwriter must have the ability to apply mathematical concepts to analyze and interpret final statements of commercial clients providing a more comprehensive picture of the company’s financial stability and their ability to repay debt.  Underwriter must be able to compare a company to the industry standard.
