Title: Senior Python Engineer Location: OH-Cincinnati Work Type: Hybrid Job ID: CIN-dae41377-f31a-461d-b771-3f56efc09c7e Pay Rate $54 - $67 (hourly estimate) Job Description: Insight Global is looking for a Senior Python Engineer to support one of our top customers in the Cincinnati area. This position will be a 7 month contract and with a strong preference for hybrid onsite at least 3-4x/week in their downtown Cincinnati office location. The first month will be fully onsite (5 days/week) to complete onboarding and training. This role will own user stories end‑to‑end, driving delivery across all phases of the SDLC. The individual will design and build full‑stack solutions for both internal and external applications, developing UI components using Angular and APIs with Java/Spring Boot deployed on Azure. They will write, maintain, and enhance automated unit and integration tests while contributing to CI/CD best practices. The role requires close collaboration with teammates on estimation, sprint planning, retrospectives, and peer code reviews, as well as maintaining and improving existing applications through effective troubleshooting and continuous improvement. In addition, this position will provide technical guidance to team members and contribute to key technical and process decisions. Skills and Requirements - 8+ years of Python development - specifically with FastAPI - Experience with full lifecycle code ownership, including design, development, testing, deployment, support, API testing, log analysis, and troubleshooting. - Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments, including building and supporting APIs in high‑traffic, high‑stakes systems. - Experience working in Azure Cloud - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Business Analytics or another technically strong program (Not required if have years of experience instead) Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
